This year, the Downtown Development Authority, in partnership with the City of Laramie and the Laramie Main Street Alliance, launched the process to create a new Downtown Development Plan. This plan will replace the current Downtown Plan adopted in 2011. Community input will play an important role in shaping its direction.
To create a robust and well-informed plan, we need to hear from you. The project website includes information about the plan, its timeline, and opportunities to get involved. Under “Supporting Documents,” you can also find the current Downtown Plan and Design Guidelines.
The Downtown Development Plan will explore buildings, streets, public spaces, transportation, housing, economic development, and infrastructure to help guide how Downtown grows and functions in the years ahead. Feedback from residents, business owners, students, and visitors helps ensure the plan reflects a range of experiences and priorities.
Even if you only have a few minutes, we welcome your perspective. A quick conversation, short comment, or note about what is—or isn’t—working Downtown can help inform the plan. The final plan will bring these ideas together into a clear vision and practical action steps that outline priorities, timelines, and responsibilities, helping to guide how Downtown partners work together moving forward.
