Open Container & Public Spaces

This summer, responsibly enjoy downtown with a local cocktail or beer while shopping with locally owned business.

May 29 - October 31st, 2025

Every day: 11 AM - 9 PM 

Alcoholic beverages can be purchased from a retail liquor license holder, microbrewery, or winery and consumed within the downtown area, shown on the map below. (Read the resolution)

Open Container Map

  • All purchases/service of alcohol must occur within the licensed premises

  • Drinks must be served in plastic cups or aluminum bottles

  • Open containers of alcohol are not permitted in vehicles or in the alleyways

  • Keep in clean Laramie, your cups go in a trash can!

  • Retailers can choose to allow, or not allow, beverages inside their storefronts (watch for signage)

Parklets AKA People Spots

Laramie Parklet Location

The initial location for the parklet is on the North East Corner of 2nd and Ivinson (due east of 123 E. Ivinson Ave.). This location will change year to year to allow the Parklet to be utilized in various areas downtown.
