Lofts at the Empress
Working with local contractors, we have gathered a handful of “Rough Order of Cost” (ROM) to help us determine how much it is going to cost to finish the lofts at the Empress. We will be sharing this information with the DDA on Feb. 12 at 4 pm and the LMSA board on March 4 at 4:30 pm to determine next steps. (Both meetings take place at 115 Ivinson Avenue).
We hope to complete three, 2 bedroom, one bath, residential units at the top floor of the Empress, located at 112 S. 2nd Street. Built in 2018 as a mixed use, infill project in the heart of downtown Laramie (formerly home to the historic Empress, then Fox Theater, demolished in 2009) the Empress is now home to Big Hollow Food Coop.
The top floor is currently raw but includes a concrete floor, plumbing rough ins, fire rated windows, an elevator, stairwell and ceiling mounted natural gas heating units.
