Laramie International Flavor Festival
April 14 - 18, 2026
Through collaborations, international flavors, stories and conversations, Laramie International Flavor Festival celebrates our residents and international influences.
Presented by Laramie Main Street and their partnership with University of Wyoming International Students and Scholars, this volunteer-run festival pairs individuals from our community and around the world with downtown businesses to infuse their menus with unique international flavors.
About 20 downtown restaurants & venues are offering food specials plus 10+ events inspired by 5 years of stories from 200+ community members and international students representing 60+ nations.

Welcome Reception and Award Ceremony - FREE

Festival Ambassador Aylin Carey will share how Turkish baklava and stories connect her to her cultural heritage. Baklava and tea will be served. This will be followed by a recognition of our 2026 award winners and participants.

Juried Art Exhibit Grand Opening – Connections through Charcoal and Flavor- a collaboration with UW Visual Arts - FREE
Metro Coffee - 117 E Ivinson Ave
UW Visual Arts students in Foundational Drawing I Class, taught by Samara Johnson, were asked “What food or flavor connects you to your heritage and/or memories.” From this prompt, each student created a still life charcoal drawing of objects that connected them to their essay and experiences.
20 selected works will be on display at Metro Coffee throughout the festival.

Open Chairs and Conversations- a meet-up - FREE

An opportunity to meet neighbors and make new friends. Pull up a chair and sit at our community table - we’ll provide free tea- as you ask each other about the foods and flavors that most connect you to your heritage and memories. From here- you are encouraged to explore the rest of the festival together.
