Through collaborations, international flavors, and conversations, Laramie International Flavor Festival celebrates diverse international residents and influences. More than 20 downtown restaurants and businesses will be offering specials and events inspired by 60+ international students and community members from 40+ nations. Questions about the event? International Flavor Festival Schedule of Events

TUESDAY, April 1:

6:30pm Proclamation at Laramie City Hall (4th and Ivinson)

  • Please join us as we accept this Laramie International Flavor Festival Week Proclamation from Laramie City Council. We will have our photo taken with the city council.

 

TUESDAY, APRIL 8: 

 Welcome Reception and Recognition of Participants FREE EVENT!

Laramie Main Street Alliance office: 103 Grand Avenue

  • 5:00-5:30 pm - Welcome Reception- tea and baklava- with Aylin Carey (FREE)

    • Aylin, will share how Turkish baklava and stories connect her to her cultural heritage. 

  • 5:30- 6:30 pm - Recognition of 2025 Flavor Festival Participants

    •  Join us to mingle and learn about and how your neighbors influenced this year’s restaurant selections. There will be a recognition of 2025 Flavor Festival Participants

Music and dance from the international community: 

  • 2-2:45 learn the dances of Uzbekistan with Dilnoza Khasilova,  

  • 2:45-3:15 Experience traditional dances of Thailand with Monticha Aksornthip

  • 3:15-3:45 Explore Latin Dance with Maria Victoria Gonzalez

  • 3:45-4 Pakistani music: Syed Abdullah Bukhari will share songs of Pakistan.

4pm  Short Film and Story Stage FREE

Screening of “I Come to America”, a 15 minute film about dreams, struggles and resilience; describing a graduate student’s life & culture shock in the USA. By Tasfique Enam and Zach Butler with the UW Bangladeshi Student Association. The film will be introduced by Zach Butler.

Followed by Open Stage Storytelling - hear the stories that inspired the 2025 festival menus, and feel free to share your own.
