Growing up with a Colombian mother meant many ethnic meals. One staple meal served almost every day was coffee, arepas, and fruit. Coffee is a staple in Colombian households, as are arepas and fruit. The meal, while not the healthiest, is very nostalgic for me. The thought of this meal reminds me of warm Colombian mornings with the sun shining and the feeling of moist humidity. In this drawing, coffee is shown in a mug. Arepas are shown with the flour bag, and with the jewelry and sunglasses, that represents what I feel when I think of Colombia.
