Takoyaki means a lot of things to me. My mom, who passed away 22 years ago, was born in Japan, on the naval base in Yokosuka. She was the one who first sparked my interest in the country.

My dad and I took a trip to Japan together in 2019 as a celebration for my graduation. The trip itself was amazing, of course, but having those memories to share with my dad is even better. We get to talk about all the things we love, especially now that we've been there together twice (I've been four times and counting), but one of the things we missed the most was takoyaki.

So I bought a takoyaki maker, ordered the right ingredients online, and made so much of it I became an octopus. I've sold thousands of pieces of takoyaki for Laramie now and am happy to keep doing so for as long as you keep eating it! I hope you love it as much as I do. And maybe it can be your own motivation to go to Japan!
